We appreciate the celebrations and recognition of International Women’s Day (IWD). But above all, our priority remains clear: driving the momentum to deliver a workplace where women can build long-term, meaningful careers in our industry.
This year, the IWD theme calls us to ‘balance the scales’. To transform celebrations into action. At WGA, we are proud to say that our actions are well underway. Moving beyond symbolism towards building a workplace where equity isn’t an exception but the standard for everyone.
Over the past years, we’ve focused on doing the work. Not just talking about change, but actively working on creating an environment where women can build long-term, meaningful careers in our industry, through:
- Reviewing our policies
- Improving work flexibility to support different life stages.
- Investing in leadership pathways
- Gender Neutral Language across all recruitment.
- Striving to reduce the gender pay gap.
In doing so we have achieved some key results and secured some real wins for women’s representation in WGA. Take a look:
- Women now make up 31% of our workforce, exceeding the industry average of 26%. (2025)
- One in three senior leaders at WGA are women (2025).
- Women represent 25% of the WGA Board. (2025)
As we continue to break barriers, this IWD is a reminder to celebrate and strengthen our efforts to keep working toward a more inclusive and equitable workplace at WGA.
