Joe La Spina recognised at the Stormwater Excellence Awards

The Stormwater South Australia Excellence Awards held at the Adelaide Oval in August this year brought dual recognition to WGA.

Celebrating a Stormwater Legend: Joe La Spina 

The Stormwater South Australia Excellence Awards, a prominent annual event in recognising innovation, leadership, and excellence in sustainable stormwater design, awarded their iconic Chairs Award to WGA’s very own Joe La Spina this year. Joe’s 30+ years of dedication to sustainable water management and urban design have left a lasting mark on both state and national-level projects.

Finalists in Excellence in Integrated Stormwater Design

Adding to the celebrations, WGA, along with SA Water, was also honoured as a finalist in the Excellence in Integrated Stormwater Design category for our work on the Myponga Reservoir Project. This initiative exemplifies the power of environmental restoration and water-sensitive urban design. By enhancing biodiversity, improving water quality, and creating vibrant recreational spaces, the project delivers lasting benefits to both the ecosystem and the community.
